Homestead Grounds

we want you to have the best

The environment we seek to create for our guests, is basically quality ahead of quantity.  We believe that guests come to visit our holiday park who want to experience the uniqueness of the outback.  In addition to swimming and waterskiing and boating, we want guests who visit us to be able to enjoy the open spaces of the outback.  When guests visit us they can be assured of privacy, peace and quiet, plenty of space, and beautiful and peaceful bush and water vistas.   Our beautiful bush walking tracks are unique, and abound with wildlife.

Our Grandview homestead can accommodate large groups and large numbers of guests.  This is ideal for corporate and business functions, especially where plenty of space for discussion groups or training sessions is involved, and numerous bedrooms are required to accommodate overnight guests, etc.  Where more than ten guests are envisaged, we ask that we be contacted to discuss arrangements.

For larger numbers of guests hiring our Grandview homestead, together with our modern air-conditioned Lake View cabin can be a good solution.  If this possibility interests you, then  phone us - we are happy to work with you and negotiate a ‘win win’ outcome.   Phone Brian or Vicki to discuss your plans - 07 5463 6256.

thinking of booking ?
If you are thinking about making a booking, then don’t delay any longer than you absolutely have to.  Our Grandview homestead is available on the internet for anyone to book.  As soon as a the Homestead is booked, it then appears as “Sold” on the dates for which it has been booked.  We have had complaints from prospective guests that our Homestead which was available “yesterday”, now appears as SOLD “today”.  We have even had a situation where a prospective guest was about to book our Holiday Homestead for a family birthday party, and the Homestead changed to “Sold” status whilst he was on his computer looking at it !  So if you want to book our homestead, then don’t risk leaving that task until next week !

the environment

Grandview has magnificent views of the lake and is just a short walk (approx 150m) or drive (approx 400m) to the lake beach, where guests can launch a boat, swim or fish. If they are lucky, our house guests will be able to stand on their homestead verandah and see a Koala in one of the many nearby gum trees, or a large and old Goanna who lives in the homestead grounds slowly making its way across the lawns, or guests may see kangaroos, and numerous brightly coloured mountain birds - whilst probably thoughtfully sipping a beer and leaning against a verandah balustrade.  For the cooler months, Grandview holiday house is generously equipped with electric heating throughout.

If you are thinking of renting our holiday homestead and you plan to have day guests joining you at either our lakeside area or joining you for a brief period in the homestead you are renting, and these guests are not guests who have paid to be staying in the homestead you are renting, please be aware that there is a charge of $7.00 per head per day.  If you are planning on having a large number of day guests, please feel welcome to discuss the issue with Vicki or Brian.
