the high life

Enjoy camping beside a mountain stream on our Stanthorpe parsley farm.

Come and stay with us on our Stanthorpe High Country Parsley Farm - nestled away in the Southern Downs . . .  .

We invite you to come and stay at our beautiful hinterland property.

Try camping or living in one of our outback cabins; and enjoy the unique experience of the Queensland outback.  You can delve into the rugged outback lifestyle at a working cattle and parsley farm.  You can experience country life to the fullest extent.  You can enjoy a picnic beside a quiet stream or pond, you can go fishing, practice golf, or explore the property, or you can just relax and enjoy the outback.  But please book well ahead.

Stanthorpe is about 2½ hours from Brisbane, situated on the ‘Granite Belt’ in the high country of south east Queensland. We are about 3000 feet above sea level, which means fresh air, cool nights, log fires, white frosts, sunny days, four distinct seasons and of course, the best climate for growing parsley, wine grapes, olives, stonefruit, apples & pears, berries, lavender and roses!

Stanthorpe is Queensland’s premier wine region and boast over 50 wineries, from very small boutique wineries to larger, long established wineries, each offering their own very special ‘drop’!   Our Stanthorpe farm specialises in cattle farming and the growing of our renowned mountain fresh parsley.

Guests camping on our farm must bring their own portaloo and their own water.

Because the property is our private family farm we will admit no more than one party of campers at a time, preferably comprising a maximum of three adults.

To make an on-line booking, please phone the owners beforehand to discuss the booking.   The owners may then make available (unblock) the dates requested.

A bond of $150.00 is required.   This can be cash or simply a credit card preauthorisation, (which drops off the card after 5 business days).   The reason for this is that guests will be charged if these camp sites are not left in clean and tidy condition and the owners are obliged to remove beer bottles or large half burnt stumps of firewood, etc.  No extra charges will be made over and above the camp fee, provided these camp sites are left in a clean and tidy condition.
